Die'sire Design Team for Crafters Companion First Projects

Hi Everyone,

So I still can't believe I made it onto the Die'sire design Team for Crafters Companion. Still very excited and received my first parcel of goodies this week. Here are my first two projects!

Project 1 - Circle Easel Card

I used Coredinations and Centura Pearl cardstock embossed with the beautiful new embossalicious rose vine 8x8 embossing folder and made the flowers using the large and small sunflower quilling dies. The scalloped tag dies made the sentiment space on the bottom and stamped with the sentimentals nature stamps.

Project 2 - Black and Pink 8x8 acetate card

This time I embossed the background cardstock and acetate overlay with the Art Deco Frame embossalicious embossing folder and a separate piece with the Spring Morning 6x6 folder. I then used gilding wax on the scene to bring out the image and matted onto contrasting pink coredinations cardstock. The flowers are made using the Dahlia Quilling die and the swirls from the stamen die. I also used Chantilly Lace stamping frame for the sentiment and the Sentimentals Ornate Stamps.

Hope you like them!

Crafters Companion CAS Challenge

So, first blog post of 2014! New Years Resolution is to do more blogging so here goes with my entry for the Crafters Companion CAS Challenge for February. I'm also submitting it as an entry for their design team call so fingers crossed.

I used the Embossalicious Elegance 8x8 folder to create the vellum overlay which I love, was so pleased with how this turned out.

Hope you like it!!

Graphic 45 Birdsong

Hi everyone

As the weather is definately not like the sunny days we had last weekend I've been busy creating.

Never got round to posting my graphic 45 projects when my kit first arrived so here they are.

Really pleased with the frames. The larger box frame was this afternoons project replacing an old faded shop bought picture.

Decided to have a go at Indigo Blu's challenge this month so had a play this morning and this is what I've come up with. Stuck with my fave colours, purple, blue and turquoise. Happy Easter!

Well, here goes, my first ever blog post!!
I've been busy making cards today. The first one is a simple Easter card using hunkydory toppers i had left over from last year and some paper scraps. Added some faux stitching and inked round the edges to give more definition against the white card.

The second card is my first attempt at Mel Heatons blog challenge using the Kaisercraft lakehouse kit from bramwell crafts. Looking at all the papers and thinking they're too nice to use but went for a blue and pink theme in the end.

Hope you like them, Happy Easter!
